NOTE: The Osaki OS-6000 was discontinued and replaced with the Osaki OS-7200H. They are the same exact chair, but the OS-7200H comes equipped with heat in the lower lumbar area.
I have had some time to do the new Osaki OS-6000 review and so far I am very pleased with this massage chair. The Osaki OS-6000 retails for $3,495 and is one of the newest introductions to the Osaki line this year, and it fits in very well.
For those who have never heard of Osaki Massage Chair, they are the makers of the Osaki OS-4000, which has become one of the best-selling massage chairs on the market today. This is because Osaki’s chairs are loaded with features, and sell at prices that don’t break the bank. The OS-6000 is definitely not a let down.
Osaki OS-6000 Review
The Osaki OS-6000 massage chair is basically an upgraded Osaki OS-4000 with some new features. I say this because the chairs are quite similar, however, the OS-6000 adds some new technology that is definitely worth the higher price tag.
Some of the advanced features of the OS-6000 are: infrared body scan technology, quad roller system with twin roller heads, S-track technology, air compression system, as well as a vast array of massage functions and programs. These features alone make this chair a great value for any massage chair buyer.
The OS-6000 massage chair takes it a step further with some more advanced features that you only find in massage chairs twice the price. The most notable feature that really sets this chair apart is the new advanced second generation 3D roller technology.
3D Roller Technology:
If you are not familiar with 3D roller technology, these are massage rollers that go “up and down”, “side to side”, and “in and out”. The “in and out” is what makes it 3D. Most massage chairs are made with 2D rollers that just go “up and down” and “side to side”. What makes the 3D technology even better on the OS-6000, is that the rollers are on an S-track, which follows the curve of the spine, allowing for a stronger massage. This is definitely one of the best features of this chair, and the 3D roller technology really does make a difference. It is definitely stronger when compared to the Osaki OS-4000, and amazing in the zero gravity position.
One-Touch Zero Gravity Recline:
This is absolutely my favorite function. If you never felt the zero gravity position, this is a reclined position when your knees are elevated above your heart putting your body in a heightened state of relaxation. The OS-6000 makes this easy – just hit the zero gravity button and the chair starts to recline. Hit it again and it goes into a second zero gravity position. Then once more to recline back into the sitting position. The zero gravity position also allows for a stronger massage by putting more pressure on the rollers.
30 Inch Roller Stroke:
The Osaki OS-6000 massage chair has a 30 inch roller stroke which is one of the longer roller strokes we have seen today, the OS-4000 also has a 30 in roller stoke.
So, what doe the longer massage stroke mean? This allows for a full body massage, the massage rollers can massage all the way from your neck to your tailbone. This also allows taller individuals to use the chair. The OS-6000 can massage anyone between the height of 5’3” to 6’4”.
Adjustable Shoulder Massage:
The next feature which also sets the Osaki OS-6000 apart is the adjustable shoulder massage. The OS-6000 utilizes the infrared body scan technology to do a shoulder scan as well. This allows the massage chair to scan the width of the user and adjust the massage to the users shoulder width. This function is great because most massage chairs have a non-adjustable shoulder massage, making it difficult to fit wider individuals.
Air Massage System:
Another great feature of the Osaki OS-6000 massage chair is the air compression system. It utilizes 51 airbags which is one of the largest air bags system in any massage chair on the market today. Like the OS-4000, it has leg and calf massage, hip and thigh air massage, arm air and vibration massage, and shoulder and neck massage. But, the OS-6000 adds 3 new airbags which are located in the head pillow. In addition, there are 5 levels of air intensity that allows the user to adjust the air massage strength to their preference.
Music System w/ Music Sync:
The Osaki OS-6000 adds music to their chair, which is definitely a nice feature. The OS-6000 makes this easy by allowing the user to attach an i-pod, cell phone, or any other music devices by a plug. The music is then played through a two speaker system built into the shoulder massagers. It also really has a cool music sync feature that syncs the vibration massage with the pace of the music. This is definitely relaxing with the right music.
Chromotherapy:
I haven’t had too much education about chromotherapy, but from my understanding it is a way of treating people with color to bring their bodies and emotions back into harmony thereby restoring health and well-being. After using the massage chair with the light off, chromotherapy on, and in the zero gravity position, it really work wonders. Plus it just looks cool.
Final Thoughts:
The Osaki OS-6000 sells for $3,495 and looks to be another great chair from Osaki. It not only looks good but it has tons of advanced features for the price. The only complaint that I have is that the chair does not have heat in the lower back like the OS-4000, but for all the features that you get it is worth it for the money. I would recommend this massage chair to anyone looking for a good quality chair with lots of features, but doesn’t want to break the bank.
